ETERNAL SUNSHINE INSPIRED VAN GOGH STYLE WALL ART
The memories are coming loose off the sky, one photograph at a time.
A couple sit on a bench at the edge of a frozen shore with their backs to us, her hair the one burst of orange in a world of blue. Above them the sky is coming apart: dozens of photographs and a lit window peel away and drift, each one holding a small scene — a bare tree, two figures walking, a doorway with a light left on.
Higher still, two faces almost meet in the clouds, painted out of the same strokes as the sky so you cannot tell where they end. Heavy impasto throughout, spiralling stars and a vast haloed moon on one side, a slow orange burn on the other. Blue for what is being lost, orange for what is not.

WHY VERTICAL ART WORKS
A tall piece draws the eye up and makes a wall feel higher than it is. One of
these over a console table, a bed or a sideboard fills the space a gallery wall
would, without putting nine holes in the plaster.
ROOMS IT SUITS

A GIFT THAT LANDS
For the friend who quotes this one at you, the one with the projector in the
basement, or a film student's first real wall. Housewarming, birthday,
Father's Day, Christmas.
CARE
Hang out of direct sunlight to keep the blacks deep for decades. Dust with a
dry, soft cloth.
